Expeditionary Learning Lead Teacher- Lindsay Slabich

Lindsay Slabich is a founding teacher at the Springfield Renaissance School.  She received her BA in American Studies from Wesleyan University.  She received her Masters of Arts in Teaching from Teachers College, Columbia University.  She has taught in the Springfield Public Schools since 2003, first at the High School of Commerce and then at Renaissance.  She taught social studies for four years at Renaissance and is now the school’s Expeditionary Learning Resource Teacher.  Lindsay loves being with her family, the outdoors, yoga, cooking, and all of the Renaissance students and faculty!

Meagan Magrath-Smith grew up in Springfield and Amherst, Massachusetts, graduating from Amherst High School. She attended Skidmore College in upstate New York and graduated cum laude with a degree in Government. She then returned to Western Massachusetts to earn her Master in the Art of Teaching from the University of UMASS. This is her 11th year at the Springfield Renaissance School and her first as the English Instructional Leadership Specialist. Outside of school, she enjoys time with her family, especially her 2 year-old son, Finn, and goes on hikes, travels, cooks, reads, and drinks lots of chai tea.
